The new year was cold to begin with, but we managed to deal with it. With the fine response we received concerning the latest album it was a bit hard to set out forward direction. We talked a lot about it but didn’t really come to any conclusions. The world went more crazy and we tried to stay focused on the issues at hand that we can and want to work with.
Some new songs were sent back and forth between us and we got started to create an EP or album to be released later on this year. We cut down work with promotion in order to focus on creating music. There was also a lot of things concerning inspiration done. We went out to do things with friends, played, went to listen to good music live and tried to create space for thought and reflection. The southern studio was equipped with some new gears to improve our work and an old Hagström amplifier from 1959 was restored and will most likely appear on future recordings. There is also an electric double bass (a stick) that we want to learn how to master for future recordings.

In March we got together to have a good time playing and singing together, as well as doing other fun things. We even played some songs live at a pub and got the whole place singing along with us. We decided to publish a new single “You will always be” which is a private reflection on losing your mother. We both have lost our mothers the past few years and it is quite a change that someone that brought you to life and brought you up is no longer there. As songs are our way of dealing with emotions and events in life it feels natural to release this song now. We made the final version in November last year and think it’s good. We hope you will like it too when it comes out May 15, if everything works out.
